Find your community at Yale

The Multicultural Open House was created in 1992 to celebrate the many intersecting identities of Yale students. Through a one-day program, visitors can get a glimpse into the resources, opportunities, and campus partners that exist to support and encourage students of all backgrounds. Whether through your identity, culture, faith, academic interest, or socio-economic background, come and find your whole self at Yale. 

The 2026 Multicultural Open House will be held on Saturday, October 3. Registration will open in September. 

Yale in MOHtion: a fly-in program

Yale in MOHtion is a fully-funded program that selects 50 high school seniors to travel to New Haven to participate in the Multicultural Open House. Participants receive travel funding and spend two nights on campus to complete a college application workshop and experience Yale’s residential colleges with a current student host. 

The Yale in MOHtion application includes a high school transcript, two short answer responses, and an optional letter of recommendation. 

The 2026 application will become available in the summer. The deadline is July 1.

Connecticut Counselor Tour

Trinity, Wesleyan, and Yale’s Connecticut Counselor Tour Program is a new fully-funded, three-day, two-night event program for counselors from community-based and college-access organizations that coincides with Yale’s annual Multicultural Open House (MOH). Selected participants will attend campus tours, panels, information sessions, and workshops focused on identifying distinguishing characteristics of each institution as well as developing broader college counseling skills.

Applications for counselors will open in the spring.

  • Asian American Cultural Center

    The first of its kind among the Ivy League, MENA celebrates the rich diversity, histories, and cultures of the Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) region.

  • Native American Cultural Center

    The NACC supports a prominent and thriving Indigenous cultural presence by fostering a sense of community for through encouragement, mentoring, and service. 

  • University Chaplain's Office

    The Chaplain’s Office offers spiritual and religious care and resources supports more than a dozen religious communities. 

  • LGBTQ Center

    The LGBTQ Center offers a rich variety of programs and resources in an environment rooted in hospitality and joy.

  • Office of International Students & Scholars

    OISS supports the international students and scholars from more than 125 countries who call Yale their home away from home.
