COVID-19 Information for Admitted Students

Information for Admitted Students and Families about COVID-19 Policies

In addition to the instructions for admitted students, please also reference the latest COVID announcements and FAQs from Yale College, which will be updated throughout academic year and summer.

Admissions Reply Deadline

The deadline to reply to Yale’s offer of admission is May 2. There is no deposit for enrolling students. We will consider short extensions to this deadline on a case-by-case basis due to extenuating circumstances, but we will not grant extensions to enable a campus visit at a later date.

If you decide to postpone your entrance to Yale for a year, please first review the Information for Students Considering Postponed Matriculation, then select “I would like to postpone admission to Yale” when completing the Admissions Offer Reply Form. You will be prompted to complete a brief questionnaire describing your gap year plans. If you have questions about the postponement process, please contact Alisha Norton at alisha.norton@yale.edu. All decisions to postpone matriculation after May 1 will need to be approved by the Admissions Office on a case-by-case basis.
