Yalie for a Day

The admissions office is excited to offer a special invitation to admitted students who visit campus on weekdays throughout April. Registered attendees (AKA “Daily Yalies”) will connect with current Yale students and future classmates, share lunch in a campus dining hall, and join a special campus tour. Students and their families will have plenty of time to explore campus independently, meet with admissions and financial aid representatives, and shop at the Yale bookstore. Registration is available on the admissions status portal.

Q: When should I plan to arrive on campus? When should I plan to depart?

A: Yalie for a Day is a casual and flexible visit program with group activities clustered in the middle of the day. Students and families planning to attend are welcome to arrive or depart on their own schedule. A current student will meet visiting admitted students at the Admissions Office at 12pm to head to a residential college dining hall lunch, and afterwards, family members are invited to join them for a special tour just for admitted students and families. How you spend the rest of your day will be up to you; the admissions office team will be happy to provide suggestions.

Q: Will my travel to campus be covered?

A: No, unfortunately, we are not able to provide travel funding for Yalie for a Day.

Q: What if none of the dates work for me?

A: Admitted students are welcome join a campus tour when visiting on other dates and are encouraged to contact their area admissions officer.
