In order to apply to Yale through the QuestBridge National College Match Program, interested students must first be selected as a QuestBridge Finalist. The QuestBridge organization runs this selection process independently of the Yale Admissions process in the early fall of a student’s senior year of high school. Details about applying are available at http://questbridge.org/about-questbridge/national-college-match.

Students who apply to Yale through the QuestBridge National College Match Program submit the same application materials as all Yale applicants. QuestBridge Finalists who rank Yale in the National College Match Program will have their QuestBridge application materials automatically forwarded to Yale but must also submit additional required documents. Instructions on how to apply to Yale as a QuestBridge finalist will be emailed to students after they have been selected as QuestBridge Finalists. For more information see https://admissions.yale.edu/applying-yale-through-questbridge.

QuestBridge applicants who do not match with Yale – and who have not matched with a binding QuestBridge partner college – will automatically be moved into Yale’s regular decision application pool. If admitted, these students are eligible for the exact same financial aid as QuestBridge students who match with Yale, as determined by their families’ demonstrated financial need. For more information visit https://admissions.yale.edu/financial-aid.

Applicants who match with Yale are offered admission to Yale College and are awarded a need-based financial aid package that includes a $0 parent contribution. Yale does not provide special financial aid awards for QuestBridge applicants; all applicants who match with Yale qualify for a $0 parent contribution through Yale’s existing financial aid policies. For more information visit https://admissions.yale.edu//financial-aid.

QuestBridge Finalists who do not match with Yale – and who have not matched with a binding QuestBridge partner college – will automatically be moved into Yale’s regular decision application pool and will not need to submit additional materials except the Mid-Year Report with first semester or trimester grades, when they become available (typically in mid-January or February.)

QuestBridge Finalists who have applied to Yale through the National College Match will learn in early December if they have matched with Yale or another partner college. The match process at Yale is binding. Matching students must promptly withdraw all applications submitted to other colleges and universities and make no additional applications to any other university. Matching students may matriculate at Yale in the coming fall term or may request to postpone their matriculation for one year.
