Carving of a Bored Student

A carving of a scholar in robes and mortarboard, sleeping with his head propped up above an enormous book.

Walking around campus, you sometimes see interesting carvings on Yale’s buildings. Here’s one that’s carved into Calhoun College. Very appropriate, in my opinion. He reminds me a lot of myself (except for the pipe). Glad to see Yale students in the 1920s weren’t that much different than we are now. :)
