Hockey: ECAC Champs!

The Yale Men's Hockey team in celebration, holding a gold trophy.

I had an amazing weekend to wrap up my spring break, following the Men’s Hockey team to Atlantic City, NJ, where they clinched the ECAC championship for the second time in three years.  I’ve attended every single one of their home games this year, roaring out the fight song and all kinds of pump-up music with the band, as we cheer the Bulldogs on to victory.

The wins were incredible–after a slower start in the semi-finals, Yale overtook Colgate by 4-0, and then controlled the final match effortlessly in a 6-0 route against Cornell.  It was tough for that many undergraduates to attend the game, since a lot of us were traveling back from spring break adventures and Atlantic City is a bit of a drive from New Haven, but those of us who made it had a blast seeing our beloved Bulldogs beat up on the competition.

Next week is the start of NCAA playoffs, at the #1 seed!  Check out the YDN article about the win or the official announcements from Athletics about the upcoming NCAA tourney.
