As I reminisce on my college memories, I realize that I have done much more than studying, working on problem sets, and completing readings, the usual activities that come into my mind. Even though four years may seem like a long time, with a month left of classes, it isn’t. Fortunately, through my need to meticulously document my life through photos, I realized that my time in college was quite eventful, with weekends filled with activities and spontaneous outings. If you can hack your schedule to have a 3-day weekend or even a 4-day weekend (this is very possible), hopefully, this will give you inspiration on activities to do during your long college weekends.
Apple Picking: Apple picking is a quintessential fall activity at Yale. Oftentimes, clubs or residential colleges will organize an apple-picking trip for students. If you want to eat tasty apples, take nice pictures at the orchards, or buy apple cider donuts, I highly recommend apple picking as one of your weekend activities.
Pumpkin Carving: Pumpkin carving is always a great study break right before the midterm season during the fall semester. Even though my skills are lacking, I love to see other students’ creative ideas and make the most of the mild fall weather before wintertime hits.

Ice Skating: My residential college also hosts an annual ice skating trip. Even though this comes with multiple falls and nasty bruises, ice skating is one of my favorite parts of wintertime. With my visits to the ice skating rink, I love seeing mild improvements in my ice skating skills (basically slightly fewer falls from the previous year).
Escape Room: Located right behind Timothy Dwight College (TD), Escape New Haven is a great weekend and weekday activity with friends. Although it may cause tension amongst friends, it is still a fun activity that adds some entertaining chaos to your routine.
Sadly we didn’t make it to the leaderboard
Skiing: A ski trip may take a little more planning; luckily, most residential colleges at Yale host an annual ski trip (which is heavily subsidized). No matter your skill level, it is always fun to hit the slopes and eat a yummy Belgian waffle with friends.
I fell too many times today but bruises are temporary and memories are forever :))
NYC Trip: I would bet a pretty penny that all Yale students would have visited NYC sometime within their four years here. West Coast students and native New Yorkers alike, students somehow always flock to NYC for a quick weekend day trip. Fortunately, this means a quick 2-hour commute on the Metro-North to Grand Central Station.

Of course, there are many other activities to do while at Yale. As important as your classes are, also remember to have fun(!!) and make lasting core memories with your friends.
Some honorable mention activities: snowball fights, bowling, weekend runs/races
