A Brunch to Remember

There’s no better feeling than waking up late on a Sunday morning and realizing there’s a Master’s Brunch. The Master of Timothy Dwight College, Jeff Brenzel, knows how to put on quite the meal. The event is a spectacle unlike any other.

There’s no better feeling than waking up late on a Sunday morning (does anyone wake up early on a Sunday morning?) and realizing there’s a Master’s Brunch. The Master of Timothy Dwight College, Jeff Brenzel, knows how to put on quite the meal. Once or twice a semester, Master Brenzel will send out an email informing everyone of a special Master’s Brunch. The event is a spectacle unlike any other. The dining hall staff pulls out all the stops to make this a meal you won’t forget.

The best part (like so many other wonderful events at Yale) is that you can enjoy this five-star brunch while still in your PJs. Here’s an idea of what kind of menu items you can expect at a Master’s Brunch:

        • Fresh lox and toasted bagels

        • Four varieties of cream cheese (strawberry, veggie, chives and plain)
        • Hot croissants and butter
        • Applewood smoked bacon
        • Mini assorted Danish pastries

      • Hot apple cider
      • Chilled sparkling apple cider (you can’t have just one kind of cider)
      • Fresh squeezed orange juice
      • Full service omelet bar – you pick out what you want in your omelet and the lovely dining staff makes it right in front of you
      • Usually some sort of musical interlude. Last Sunday’s event had live jazz (put on by TD students)

With all this in store, you might as well just embrace that Freshman 15.
