Find your community at Yale

Community Day at Yale is a special one-day campus visit program for visitors to get a glimpse into the resources, opportunities, and campus partners that support and encourage undergraduate students. Whether through your identity, culture, faith, academic interest, or socio-economic background, come and find your whole self at Yale. 

Community Day at Yale will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026. Registration will open in September. 

Yale in Motion: a fly-in program

Yale in Motion is a fully-funded program that selects 50 high school seniors to travel to New Haven to participate in Community Day at Yale. Participants receive travel funding and spend two nights on campus to complete a college application workshop and experience Yale’s residential colleges with a current student host. 

The Yale in Motion application includes a high school transcript and two short answer responses.

The 2026 application is now open. The deadline is July 1.

Connecticut Counselor Tour

Trinity, UConn, and Yale’s Connecticut Counselor Tour Program is a fully-funded, three-day, two-night event for counselors from community-based and college-access organizations that coincides with the annual Community Day at Yale. Selected participants will attend campus tours, panels, information sessions, and workshops focused on identifying distinguishing characteristics of each institution as well as developing broader college counseling skills. 

The 2026 application is now open. The deadline is July 1.

Cultural and resource centers

  • Afro-American Cultural Center

    Founded in 1969, The House is committed to preserving and promoting the historical, cultural, intellectual and social movement traditions of the African Diaspora.

  • Asian American Cultural Center

    The AACC honors the vibrant and complex cultures, histories, and experiences of the Asian and Asian American community at Yale.

  • La Casa Cultural

    La Casa Cultural de Julia de Burgos, the Latino Cultural Center at Yale, a rich variety of social, academic, and cultural resources in a vibrant and welcoming environment.

  • Middle Eastern and North African Cultural Community

    The first of its kind among the Ivy League, MENA celebrates the rich diversity, histories, and cultures of the Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) region.

  • Native American Cultural Center

    The NACC supports a prominent and thriving Indigenous cultural presence by fostering a sense of community for through encouragement, mentoring, and service. 

  • University Chaplain's Office

    The Chaplain’s Office offers spiritual and religious care and resources supports more than a dozen religious communities. 

  • LGBTQ Center

    The LGBTQ Center offers a rich variety of programs and resources in an environment rooted in hospitality and joy.

  • Office of International Students & Scholars

    OISS supports the international students and scholars from more than 125 countries who call Yale their home away from home.
